International Association of Defense Counsel invites Eric Lasker to serve on two speaker panels at its 2011 MidYear meeting.

Firm Partner Eric Lasker will serve on two speaker panels at the 2011 midyear meeting of the IADC in Pebble Beach, CA.  On the first panel, Mr. Lasker will speak before the Toxics and Hazardous Substances Committee on the unique opportunities and challenges faced by corporate defendants in defending against toxic tort and international law claims alleged by foreign plaintiffs.  Mr. Lasker's second presentation, before the full IADC, will address civil, criminal and regulatory legal issues arsing from major oil spills (like the Deepwater Horizon) by way of a mock U.S. Senate investigatory hearing in which Mr. Lasker will play the role of the Chair of a U.S. Senate Committee questioning the CEO of a fictional oil company after a massive oil spill.  The IADC is an invitation-only professional association for corporate and insurance defense lawyers around the world.
