Firm Partner Eric Lasker moderates panel at ABA Environmental Section Fall meeting on enforcement of foreign judgments in environmental and mass tort litigation.

On October 14, 2011, Firm partner Eric Lasker moderated an expert panel at the Fall meeting of the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources Law entitled, Lessons from Chevron in Ecuador and the DBCP Litigation — Enforcement of Foreign Judgments i Environmental and Mass Torts.  Mr. Lasker was selected to moderate the panel based upon his extensive experience in defending U.S. corporations against claims brought by foreign nationals in the United States.  The panel presentation addressed the adverse consequences of decisions reached by other defendants (not represented by the firm) that asserted forum non conveniens defenses that resulted in massive judgments against them in foreign courts.
