Kathleen O. Gallagher practices in the Firm’s Complex Litigation and Toxic Torts & Products Liability groups. Her practice involves commercial litigation claims and disputes focusing on the areas of complex construction and engineering litigation and arbitration in federal and state courts. She has extensive experience with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and architect-engineers in breach of contract and design claims, and defective workmanship actions, where she has drafted pleadings, dispositive motions, written discovery, and taken and defended depositions.
Ms. Gallagher also has experience in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death claims, and insurance defense and coverage, as well as with criminal cases. She has experience in both bench and jury trials, as well as mediation and settlement negotiations at the state and federal level. Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Gallagher clerked for the Honorable John W. Debelius III, Chief Judge of Sixth Judicial Circuit, and Chief Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland.
Ms. Gallagher graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2014, where she was the Articles Editor of the University of Baltimore Law Forum, competed on the J. Braxton Craven Memorial Moot Court Competition team, and was a member of the Moot Court Board. She also served as a teaching assistant in constitutional law and a research assistant on cyberbullying and anti-harassment laws.
