Jayhoun P. Rezai practices in the Firm’s Complex Litigation, Pharmaceutical Products, and Toxic Torts & Products Liability groups. His experience includes conducting both bench and jury trials, including as first chair at a felony jury trial. He has secured multiple grand jury indictments and has extensive experience preparing expert witnesses as well as federal and state government witnesses. He also has experience in appellate briefing.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Rezai served as an Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia in the Public Safety Division, Juvenile Section, where he investigated and prosecuted a variety of crimes, including fraud and homicide. Following law school, he served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney's Office (Brooklyn, NY) in the Special Victims Bureau & Appeals Bureau. He investigated and prosecuted sexual offenses and crimes involving child victims and worked on appellate cases in complex litigation.
Mr. Rezai received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a Symposium Editor and Staff Editor of the Journal of National Security Law & Policy and served as a Board Member and Training Director on the Barristers' Council, Trial Advocacy Division. During law school, he worked in several legal internships within the U.S. Department of Justice, including the Office of Chief Counsel for the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Mr. Rezai graduated, magna cum laude, with a B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He is a Football Coach at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC.
