Melissa Baney is a graduate of Georgetown Law, where she was the Managing Editor of the Food and Drug Law Journal and a member of the Georgetown Gilbert & Sullivan Society. She received both her undergraduate degree, cum laude, and her master’s degree in Psychology from American University. Prior to joining the firm as a 2022 Summer Associate, Melissa worked as a Health Law Intern at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law and Policy.

Alexa Halkias is a graduate of William & Mary Law School, where she was the Lead Articles Editor of the William & Mary Law Review and a Legal Practice Fellow. She received her undergraduate degree in English and History, summa cum laude, from West Virginia University where she was an Eberly Scholar 2019, awarded for outstanding academic achievement. Prior to joining the firm as a 2022 Summer Associate, Alexa was a Legal Intern, Trial Division, in the Missouri State Public Defender Office.

Kelly Hutchinson is a graduate of George Washington University Law School, where she was a recipient of the Judge Albert H. Grenadier Award for Excellence in Oral Advocacy and was a member of both the Mock Trial Board and the Moot Court Board. She received her undergraduate degree in Communications, summa cum laude, from Auburn University, where she was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Kelly spent the summer of 2021 as a Judicial Intern for the Hon. Elizabeth C. Wingo, Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
