Eric Lasker Speaks at LCJ on Shaping Federal Rule 702 Interpretation and State Rule Reform

At the Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ) 2024 Spring Member Meeting, firm partner Eric Lasker was one of three panelists discussing the new FRE Rule 702. LCJ is focusing on implementation of the new rule language in federal court decisions and on securing state rule amendments in alignment with the new federal standards. The panel discussed how courts are interpreting the new amendment, and what LCJ members and allies need to know going forward to achieve federal and state rule uniformity.
Eric is a long-time proponent of amending Rule 702. Since 2014, he has advocated for, written extensively about, and testified to the need for the amendments, adopted in December 2023.
