In 2014, Hollingsworth LLP was selected by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) as one of three finalists in the Mid-Atlantic Region for the 2014 Thomas L. Sager Award.
The Sager Award was created by MCCA to honor Thomas L. Sager, Senior Vice President and General Counsel at DuPont, whose relentless commitment to increasing diversity in the legal profession has inspired others to do the same. The prestigious Sager award is presented annually to one firm, in each of MCCA’s five regions, that has demonstrated a sustained commitment to diversity and inclusion.
“Hollingsworth LLP is proud that our firm-wide culture of diversity has been recognized by MCCA. The Firm is fully committed to achieving a diverse and inclusive workplace,” said a spokesman for the firm.
In selecting award recipients, the MCCA Board of Directors considers firm statistical data and efforts in the areas of recruitment, retention, and promotion; mentoring and sponsorship; pipeline initiatives; work-life initiatives; collaborative efforts with community and bar associations; and other practices that generate sustainable efforts to increase diversity.
