Ann Czyzewski Farr practices in the firm’s Business Interruption & Commerical Disputes, Environmental, Pharmaceutical & Medical Device, and Products Liability & Toxic Torts groups. Her responsibilities include drafting pleadings and dispositive and discovery briefs, managing discovery productions, deposing witnesses, and developing expert witnesses for deposition. She is also part of the firm’s team serving as confidential advisors for the overall assessment of the litigation risks and fact and expert discovery in a multidistrict litigation involving environmental and personal injury claims related to PFAS. Often described as highly driven, passionate about her work, and a quick learner, Ann gravitated to the practice of law early in life as the logic and reasoning aspects of law fit her well and allowed her a platform from which to write and assemble strategic arguments.

Ann earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was on the Editorial Board of the Virginia Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and received the Bracewell LLP Appellate Advocacy Best Brief Award. She was a member of the Extramural Moot Court Team and competed in moot court competitions, including the William M. Lile Moot Court Competition.

During law school, Ann worked as a Research Assistant for a UVA Law School professor, where she evaluated the use of strict scrutiny in the equal protection doctrine, analyzed state laws governing standards for discretionary appellate jurisdiction, and drafted a memorandum in support of a U.S. Supreme Court cert petition. She also volunteered at The Rutherford Institute, where she researched and prepared memoranda assessing government regulations of the right to travel, evidence suppression, and other constitutional and procedural issues. Ann also interned with the Housing Clinic at the Legal Aid Justice Center where she drafted pleadings and argued on behalf of a client in a voucher termination hearing.

Graduating, summa cum laude, from Bellarmine University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice Studies and Philosophy, Ann was President of the Mock Trial Team and was named top attorney at invitational and regional tournaments. During college, she served as an Intern at the Jefferson County Office of Circuit Court Clerk and at the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney, both in Louisville, KY.
