Rick Hauptman is a proactive problem solver who is committed to delivering outstanding results. His more than two decades of discovery experience shows daily whether that is in value added during quality control review or tackling analyses of complex corporate histories, including regulatory and scientific matters.
Working in the Complex Litigation, Products Liability & Toxic Torts, and Pharmaceutical & Medical Device practice groups, Rick is a member of the firm’s team engaged in the serial litigation over an EPA-approved herbicide. His work includes analyzing issues in preparation for depositions and trials, supervising document reviews and productions, including related privilege logs, and assisting with responding to written discovery.
Throughout his career, Rick has been engaged in document analysis and production in complex litigation, investigation, and regulatory matters. With extensive experience in discovery on Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and Securities & Exchange Committee matters, he is also experienced in pharmaceutical investigations, employment matters, contract litigation, insurance litigation, securities investigations, and disputes under the Federal Maritime Act. He has served as the lead attorney for multiple voluminous eDiscovery reviews and has worked on large-scale cases and investigations.
Rick obtained his J.D. from Tulane Law School and graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in economics and political science.
