David Schifrin To Present on PFAS Litigation in Upcoming CLE Webinar
event | July 7, 2026
This Barbri CLE webinar will navigate the expert, scientific, and evidentiary issues that drive PFAS litigation. The panel will examine how counsel can develop and/or challenge proof of exposure, source identification, fate and transport, causation, allocation, and damages in PFAS-based disputes. The panel will cover working with experts and complicated scientific evidence, such as environmental sampling, analytical chemistry, toxicology, epidemiology, hydrogeology, and source analysis.
In addition, the panel will explore the ways in which PFAS chemicals differ from other contaminants and discuss the state of the science in both personal injury and environmental cases. The panel will address the current toxicology, epidemiology, and medical causation evidence with respect to certain PFAS, as well as evidence relating to claims for natural resource damages. The panel will conclude by discussing expert discovery, depositions, and evidentiary challenges through Rule 702 and other motions practice, in addition to offering practical advice on how to present these complex scientific issues in motions and at trial.
