Hollingsworth LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Louis Russo and Aleksandra Rybicki to partners of the firm.

“Louis Russo and Aleksandra Rybicki demonstrated to us that they are driven to advance the interests of the firm’s clients in complex, high-stakes litigation,” said Managing Partner Donald R. McMinn. “We thank them and look forward to seeing the mark each will make on the firm in the coming years.”

Louis Russo represents clients in a variety of litigation matters focusing on products liability and complex litigation defense. He is also a member of the firm’s Insurance Coverage team, where he represents policyholders in coverage disputes arising out of tort and products liability claims. Russo represents clients seeking coverage as additional insureds pursuant to agreements with business partners and represents policyholders seeking coverage under commercial property and casualty insurance policies. Prior to joining Hollingsworth LLP, Russo defended major pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in products liability matters involving antibiotics, antipsychotics, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, prescription opioids, surgical mesh, and suture anchors. He also represented clients in anti-counterfeiting, antitrust, tort, contract, and business organization law matters. In his pro bono practice, he has represented clients in criminal law, administrative law, domestic violence, and human rights abuse matters. Russo received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Senior Articles Editor of the Fordham Law Review. He graduated summa cum laude from Wagner College with a B.A. in Government/Politics and Economics.

Aleksandra Rybicki represents individual and corporate clients in complex commercial litigation, antitrust, employment, and professional liability matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts. She has first-chaired multiple civil bench trials and conducted corporate internal investigations in employment and white-collar matters. Her notable successes include obtaining summary judgment for an industrial manufacturer in a toxic tort case alleging asbestosis, and obtaining a full dismissal for a fire-suppression engineering company in a products liability and breach of contract case. She has represented corporations in merger and civil antitrust investigations by the U.S. DOJ and U.S. FTC and has managed complex document productions in antitrust litigation. With employment litigation experience that includes defending companies against discrimination claims in state and federal courts and administrative agencies in matters involving sexual harassment, whistleblower retaliation, restrictive-covenant disputes, wrongful termination, and wage-and-hour violations, she is also experienced in complex class action litigation, such as wage-and-hour collective actions. Rybicki earned her J.D. from George Washington University Law School, where she was Articles Editor for the American Intellectual Property Law Association Journal. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from Adelphi University.
