Hollingsworth LLP named for the third time in four years to the National Law Journal's Midsize Firm Hot List.
On April 8, 2013, the National Law Journal named Hollingsworth LLP for the third time to its Midsize Hot List, an annual list that recognizes just twenty of the country's midsize firms. Recognizing the Firm's continued successes, this year's article highlights the recent dismissal in federal court of a mass tort claim involving 3,300 individual Ecuadorian plaintiffs, which was brought by some of the very same groups who are behind the $19.2 billion Ecuadorian court judgment against Chevron.
“They’re really experts in these kind of pretrial hearings,” said Kenneth Feinberg, former special master of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund and a well-known mediator who has worked on cases involving Hollingsworth LLP. “They specialize in this area of the law that is very important but is often overlooked.”
As the NLJ wrote, "The firms we’ve selected for our Midsize Hot List are led by forward-thinking attorneys who are guiding their organizations in new practice directions, amassing more business in mainstay practices and spreading into new regions. They all have one thing in common: They’re midsize, and they like it.” We couldn't agree more.
