Hollingsworth LLP Proudly Welcomes Four Outstanding New Associates to the Firm

Hollingsworth LLP is pleased to welcome its newest class of first-year associates to the firm. Abigail Cahn-Gambino, Kate Granruth, Sally Levin, and Alexandra Patterson join the Hollingsworth LLP team, which is comprised entirely of litigators specializing in highly challenging and complex legal work. A trial-focused firm, Hollingsworth LLP handles high-stakes complex matters at every stage of litigation and is well known for work that focuses the courts on sound science and advocates for protecting courts and juries from the distortions caused by speculative and unfounded expert opinions.

Abigail Cahn-Gambino graduated from Georgetown Law, where she served as executive editor and submissions editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics, for which she earned the Spring 2023 Best Note Award. Additionally she was an active member of the Jewish Law Students Association and Georgetown Gilbert & Sullivan Society. In addition to being a summer associate in 2023 at Hollingsworth LLP, she has served as a judicial intern at the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, a research assistant at University of Maryland School of Law, an intern at Refugees International, and an analyst at a tech start-up. A native of Bethesda, Maryland, she received a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry and economics from Wesleyan University.

Kate Granruth graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was managing editor of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law, a student participant in the Innocence Project Clinic, and won the First Year Legal Research & Writing Best Brief Award. A Hollingsworth LLP 2023 summer associate, she was also a student participant in the Environmental Law & Community Engagement Clinic, a law clerk at Equal Rights Advocates, a legal research assistant at Southern Environmental Law Center, and an intern at the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women’s Center. Originally from Centreville, Virginia, she is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received a Bachelor of Arts in English and women, gender and sexuality studies from the University of Virginia.

Sally Levin graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law where she served on the editorial board of the Virginia Journal of International Law, as a legal writing fellow, a research assistant, vice president of membership for the Jewish Law Students Association, and tournament director for the 41st Annual UVA Law Softball Invitational. A Hollingsworth LLP 2023 summer associate, she has also served as a legal intern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia and legal assistant at Haywood, Denny & Miller, LLP in Durham, North Carolina. A native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, she received a Bachelor of Arts in media and journalism and French from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Alexandra Patterson graduated from the George Washington University Law School with honors. While there, she was an associate member of the George Washington International Law Review, a Dean’s Fellow for GW Fundamentals of Lawyering Program, a legal research and writing fellow for the GW Law Writing Center, and a teaching assistant for various subjects. In addition to being a Hollingsworth LLP 2023 summer associate, she previously served as a legal intern and integrity officer at U.S. General Services Administration and as parliamentary intern to the Right Honorable Lady, Dr. Lisa Cameron MP in the British House of Commons. Hailing from Lima, Ohio, she is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received a Bachelor of Arts in politics and history with a minor in philosophy from The Catholic University of America.
