On April 16, 2015, The Burton Awards selected Firm partner Don Fowler as among the finest law firm writers of 2014 for his article “Federal Clean Air Act Preemption of Public Nuisance Claims: The Case for Supreme Court Resolution.”
The Burton Awards, a non-profit program that is run in association with the Library of Congress, honors only thirty-five authors each year from entries submitted by the nation’s 1,000 largest and most prestigious law firms. Now in its sixteenth year, the program is dedicated to rewarding great achievements in law, with particular emphasis on writing and reform. Winners are selected by the program’s Board of Directors, which includes judges, U.S. Senators, lawyers in private practice, corporate in-house counsel, and law school professors.
