Pro Bono Win: Hollingsworth LLP successfully represents juvenile from El Salvador in immigration proceedings.

news | November 13, 2014

James M. Sullivan and Andrew L. Reissaus recently saw the successful conclusion of a two-year pro bono representation of a juvenile from El Salvador whose parents abandoned her as a child.  Led by Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Reissaus, the Firm assisted the juvenile client with obtaining a custody order that placed her in the care of a family member, filing a petition for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, terminating removal proceedings, and applying to register as a permanent resident. The representation concluded after the client recently received a green card in recognition of her permanent resident status.

Hollingsworth LLP accepted this pro bono matter on referral from the National Center for Refugee & Immigrant Children, U.S. Committee for Refugees & Immigrants.
