Hollingsworth LLP is delighted to announce Robert Johnston’s appointment to Washington Legal Foundation’s (WLF) Legal Policy Advisory Board. As noted in the WLF press release, Robert routinely tries cases to verdict and participates in preparation of appeals, often arguing on behalf of clients before federal and state appellate courts. Robert led the trial team that obtained the first (and unanimous) defense verdict in a case alleging that exposure to ethylene oxide released from a commercial medical device sterilization facility caused cancer. He is among a small percentage of American lawyers invited to be a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society that recognizes excellence among U.S. litigators and trial counsel.
Quoting from WLF Executive Director Glenn Lammi, Robert “will provide WLF unique insight from his years in the trenches of civil litigation. Robert also has demonstrated from his frequent pro bono involvement with WLF’s Legal Studies Division his understanding that educating judges and other policymakers is a vital component of achieving victories in court.”
The WLF Legal Policy Advisory Board is a group of more than forty professionals from the arenas of business, law, academia, and public policy. It is an honor to partner with both WLF and its advisory board on many legal issues important to our clients and their businesses.
