Alexandra Patterson practices in the firm’s Complex Litigation, Pharmaceutical & Medical Device, Products Liability & Toxic Torts, and Environmental groups. Her responsibilities include complex legal research, deposition preparation, and analyzing produced documents to inform overall case strategy. In her environmental practice, Ally works on defending groundwater contamination cases and CERCLA cost recovery actions in federal court. Ally is also a member of the firm’s discovery team where, among other things, she assists in responding to confidentiality challenges and drafts various discovery motions and oppositions. She also is involved in a pro bono matter for Lawyers for Civil Justice.

Ally graduated from the George Washington University Law School with honors. During law school, she served as a Legal Intern/Integrity Officer at the U.S. General Services Administration and as a Parliamentary Intern to a former Member of Parliament, Dr. Lisa Cameron, in the British House of Commons. She was an associate member of The George Washington International Law Review, a Dean’s Fellow for the GW Fundamentals of Lawyering Program, a legal research and writing fellow for the GW Law Writing Center, and a teaching assistant for various subjects. She also received the Pro Bono Gold Recognition award for completing over 250 hours of pro bono work. Ally is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in politics and history with a minor in philosophy from The Catholic University of America. She was a member of the firm’s 2023 Summer Associate class.

Ally unwinds from the rigors of law by taking her dog Zeppelin on hikes in the DMV area and by attending spin classes with family or friends. As a self-described condiment connoisseur, she enjoys experimenting with hot sauces and other condiments she collects from her world travels.
