Joe Cianciola practices complex litigation defense in pharmaceutical, products liability, toxic tort, and insurance matters. His responsibilities include drafting motions and deposition outlines, conducting legal research, and analyzing discovery documents.
Prior to joining the firm, Joe served as a Student Attorney, Criminal Defense & Justice Clinic at the Jacob Burns Community Legal Clinics, where his responsibilities included, among others, fact investigation, negotiating with prosecutors, client counseling, and appearing on behalf of clients in court. He also served as a Judicial Extern to Judge Timothy J. Kelly of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, drafting research memoranda, orders, and opinions in federal criminal and civil matters.
Joe graduated from the George Washington University Law School where he was a Member of The George Washington Law Review and the Moot Court Board. He received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for completing over 100 hours of pro bono work. In 2024, he was a member of the firm’s Summer Associate class.
Joe received his Bachelor of Arts in public policy from the University of Michigan with a focus on criminal justice reform.
