Having developed critical listening skills through her background in theater and as a liberal arts major, Sara Faber believes this ability maps well to the intellectual exercise and mission of structuring smart and compelling arguments as a trial lawyer. Practicing in the firm’s Complex Litigation, Pharmaceutical Products, and Toxic Torts & Products Liability groups, she is a member of the firm’s team defending against serial litigation involving allegations of injury related to claimed exposure to an FDA-approved treatment for chronic myeloid leukemia.

Prior to joining the firm, Sara worked as a litigator at a global law firm, focusing on complex commercial disputes in federal trial and appellate courts. Her experience includes writing briefs at the trial and appellate level, drafting pleadings, deposing witnesses, and managing complex discovery negotiations and productions. She has also participated in corporate internal investigations, conducting witness interviews, collaborating with consulting experts on the technical aspects of the investigation, and drafting a final report for corporate management and the corporate board. Her prior cases involved multidistrict antitrust litigation, insurance defense, and bankruptcy law. She is also proud to have represented incarcerated individuals in Eighth Amendment suits in a pro bono capacity.

Sara previously served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Donald Middlebrooks in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

While Sara enjoys the ability to dive into various industries and learn the science and technical aspects of each case, she most enjoys the pursuit of a more just society and the ability to seek positive change. It is in this space where her raw talent shines and confirms her ability to skillfully zoom in and out seeing the trees from the forest.

Having received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law, Sara was an Executive Editor of the Duke Law Journal and served as Co-President of the American Constitution Society. She graduated magna cum laude from Emory University with a B.A. in Comparative Literature and Middle Eastern Studies.

As a transplant to Washington D.C. shortly before the pandemic, Sara is now fully enjoying exploring and experiencing D.C. in her down time. She also enjoys a good book and spending time with family.
