Olivia N. Sacks

With a pre-med background and curiously driven by nature, Olivia Sacks is a good match for the firm’s Complex Litigation, Pharmaceutical & Medical Device, and Products Liability & Toxic Torts groups. Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, motions drafting, witness preparation, and analyzing discovery documents. Earning credibility as a strong writer and clear communicator, Olivia was a member of the firm’s 2021 Summer Associate Class and worked part-time as a contract attorney during her last year of law school.

Olivia earned her J.D., with highest honors, Order of the Coif, from the George Washington University Law School, where she was Editor-In-Chief of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal, as well as a Dean’s Fellow, Writing Fellow, and Civil Procedure teaching and research assistant. Her Note on choice of law is published in Volume 32 of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal. Olivia is a recipient of the Dean’s Certificate in Pro Bono Services given by GW Law for 470+ hours of pro bono service.

During law school, Olivia worked as a student attorney at Rising for Justice, a nonprofit legal clinic, where she negotiated with opposing counsel to quash clients’ writs of execution and to settle, and prepared motions in the landlord-tenant branch of the D.C. courts. She also served as a Judicial Intern to The Honorable Timothy J. Kelly at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, where, among other things, she drafted an opinion in a high-profile Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act terrorism-exception matter.

Olivia graduated from the University of Miami as an Isaac Bashevis Singer Scholar with a B.A. in anthropology. During her undergraduate years, she studied overseas in International/Global Studies at Tel Aviv University, and Spanish and Iberian Studies at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

When not practicing law, Olivia enjoys reading, podcasts, and documentaries. She also enjoys cooking, running, and traveling.
