At Hollingsworth LLP, we believe our strength as a successful law firm should be leveraged to make a positive impact both in the broader community and in our local community, where we live and work.
We see this our responsibility as a good corporate citizen. To that end, financial gifts and volunteering are among the philanthropic values we embrace, along with providing pro bono and non-legal services, serving on nonprofit boards, and encouraging the individual charitable endeavors of many of our employees. Giving to the disadvantaged and engaging directly in our community is part of the firm’s culture and it is our goal to help local communities and families stay strong in changing and challenging times. Among our efforts to support area residents in need, each month we designate a local organization as our Community Engagement Partner, make a donation to the organization, match employee donations, and aim to highlight the value of the organization to fellow members of the DC legal and business communities.
We participate regularly in local and national fundraisers for charitable groups, including food and clothing drives, disaster relief efforts, Lawyers Have Heart 10k, Whitman Walker AIDS Walk, Gifts for the Homeless, and Breast Cancer Awareness activities. We also provide support to such organizations as Legal Aid DC, National Legal Aid and Defender Association (NLADA), and the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC).
